I have the same problem. I already restarted it several times logged out and logged in. Still only Sonnet 4.5. (2.0.19 (Claude Code))

Likely only available to Max plans, but try claude --model "claude-haiku-4-5"

If I'm working in the terminal, it's works, I can choose Haiku 4.5 /model Haiku
But if I'm working in the VS Code extension (UI mode) there is no way to choose Haiku yet

I had the same problem but in v2.0.14. upgrading to v2.0.20 fixed the issue.

I'm using the latest version:

I logged out and in again no joy. 

I tried the `/model haiku` suggestion and that seemed to work for a few minutes but then I got the error:

`API Error: Claude's response exceeded the 8192 output token maximum. To configure this behavior, set the CLAUDE_CODE_MAX_OUTPUT_TOKENS environment variable.` 

So I've reverted back to the Sonnet 4.5 option. 

I did `/logout` and `/login` again via the API option and it was available and worked but I want to use my subscription so I logged out and back in via my account and chose the only Sonnet 4.5 option available to me.

Using macOS 26. Happy to share anything else that may be of use if I'm pointed in the right direction
