[FEATURE] Snooze a session: hide it now, bring it back on a chosen date
Preflight
- Searched the existing
enhancementrequests (snooze, defer, pause, archive, remind, resurface). Nothing covers this. - Single feature request.
Problem Statement
I regularly stop working on a case knowing exactly when I will come back to it: a contract that gets signed in six days, a follow-up waiting on a document that arrives next week. Today that session stays in my list, competing for attention with everything else, and when the day comes I have to find it again among dozens of others.
What I have instead is a deadline registry in the repository, surfaced by a SessionStart hook. That works for the subject: when I open that project, the dates come back at me. It does not work for the session: the reasoning, the trade-offs we made and why, the options we ruled out. Reopening a long session days later means scrolling through a conversation half of which is now stale. Starting a fresh one means losing the thread.
Proposed Solution
Snooze a session until a date I choose. It leaves the list now, and comes back at the top on that date with its context intact. The equivalent of snoozing an email.
Optionally, a one-line note attached to the snooze ("waiting for the tenant's guarantor number"), shown when it resurfaces. Coming back to a session is mostly about remembering what I was waiting for.
Alternative Solutions
Three mechanisms exist today and none of them closes the gap:
/loopand scheduled tasks run work on a schedule. They start a new session; they do not bring an existing one back into view.- Archiving removes a session from the list, but I have to go looking for it in the resume picker. It never comes back on its own.
- SessionStart hooks fire when I open a project, which is exactly the moment I may have forgotten that project needed my attention.
The common gap: everything available today is triggered by me showing up. A snooze is triggered by the date.
