In https://docs.claude.com/en/api/agent-sdk/modifying-system-prompts it explains how a user can fully replace the default System Prompt, while losing default tools description - but it does not contain any references to what this default tools definition is.

Tools Specification from the default Claude Code's default system prompt.

Suggested Improvement

You needs to publish the default system prompt - either fully or at least the 'tools' part. So that a user could cherry-pick the tools they need into their custom system prompt for complete replacement.

Yes there are leaks and they re not hard to find, but this deserves to be documented officially.

⚠️ If this is hard to maintain as a documentation page, at least add a CLI command to dump its current system prompt to stdout.
