What's Wrong?

Description

After the weekend, I worked approximately 5 hours total today (Monday) using Claude Code under my Pro Plan account, yet the usage summary displayed the following incorrect values:

Current session
██████████████████████████████████████████████████ 100% used
Resets 10:59pm (Asia/Karachi)

Current week (all models)
████████████████████████████████████████ 82% used
Resets Oct 16 at 9:59am (Asia/Karachi)

Current week (Opus)
██████████████████ 38% used
Resets Oct 15 at 1:59am (Asia/Karachi)

However:

I have only used Sonnet in Claude Code this week.

I have not used the Opus model in either Claude Code or on Claude.ai for the last 15 days.

I am on a Pro plan, not a Max plan, and therefore should not have any Opus model usage logged.

Despite this, Claude’s usage dashboard shows 38% Opus model consumption, which should be impossible for Pro plan users.

What Should Happen?

As a Claude Pro plan user:

The dashboard should only show Sonnet model usage for Claude Code.

The Opus usage bar should not appear or increment.

The weekly usage percentage should accurately reflect only active session time (≈5 hours in my case), not 82%.

Error Messages/Logs

Actual Behavior

The dashboard shows 82% total weekly usage after only 5 hours of work.

It also incorrectly shows 38% Opus usage, even though Opus access is unavailable for Pro plan users.

When I contacted Claude AI Support, the automated agent initially stated it was due to Max plan switching logic, but after checking my account, it reported that my Pro plan was “canceled” and reverted to free tier — even though I was logged in and billed as an active Pro user.

This caused both incorrect usage reporting and false subscription status detection.

Steps to Reproduce

Log into Claude Code with an active Pro plan.

Use the editor for ~5 hours across a few sessions.

Open Settings → Usage → Summary.

Observe:

“Current week (all models)” shows ~80% used.

“Current week (Opus)” shows ~30–40% used, even with no Opus access.

Contact support and note that it inconsistently reports plan status as “Free Tier.”
