Description
Sessions started via the terminal claude CLI don't appear in the Claude Code app UI's session list, even though they're fully accessible via claude --resume in a terminal and exist as .jsonl transcripts under ~/.claude/projects/<project>/.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start and use several sessions via the terminal claude CLI in a given project directory.
  2. Open the Claude Code app UI for the same project.
  3. Check the session list in the app UI.

Expected: Terminal-created sessions appear in the app UI's session list (or there's a way to import/sync them).

Actual: The app UI's session list only shows sessions it created/tracked itself. Terminal-created sessions are invisible in the UI, with no apparent import or sync path, even though the underlying transcript files exist and are fully resumable via the CLI.

Environment: Windows 11
