[Bug] VS Code Extension: Failed Connection to Linear MCP Service

Bug Description
I have some MCP servers set up in my CLI which work well, and until two days ago, worked exactly the same way in the Claude Code VS Code extension. Suddenly on Thursday night, the extension stopped connection to one particular MCP, Linear, on which I depend for work ticketing.
No amount of removal / re-adding / restarts / reinstalls of extensions will make any difference, it's still the same now. Claude itself keeps suggesting using MCP via API and a third party MCP service, but this is working in the CLI so the ideas are pointless.
Has there been a bug introduced in the extension?
