Bug Description
Subject: Abnormal usage consumption - 100% limit consumed in under 5 minutes
I've been using Claude Max ($90/month) with Claude Code for nearly a year without issues. Today, I experienced an abnormal consumption pattern:
• My 5-hour session limit had just reset to 0%
• I resumed an ongoing task in Claude Code with effort level set to "High"
• Within less than 5 minutes, my usage went from 0% to 100%, completely blocking me for 5 hours
Context check using /context:
• Session 1: ~200K tokens
• Session 2: ~300K tokens
This consumption rate is completely abnormal compared to my typical usage over the past 6 months. While I understand that resuming sessions and high effort levels consume more resources, this extreme consumption in under 5 minutes is unprecedented in my experience.
This is blocking my professional work (B2B context) for 5 hours, which is highly disruptive.
