[BUG] Claude Code blocked on new personal Pro account - oauth_org_not_allowed
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
I recently created a new personal Claude Pro account with my own
payment details. Before this, I had a different Claude account
which I could not continue using as it was linked to someone
else's payment details, so I created this fresh account and
purchased Claude Pro subscription myself.
When I try to use Claude Code in VS Code terminal, I get this error:
"Your organization has disabled Claude subscription access for
Claude Code · Use an Anthropic API key instead, or ask your
admin to enable access"
My account is completely personal — I am not part of any team,
enterprise, or organization. I have no admin. I just paid for
Claude Pro and expected Claude Code to work as it is included
in the Pro subscription.
My previous account had Claude Code working fine. This new
account which I created with my own payment details is being
blocked for no clear reason. I have already tried claude logout
and claude login multiple times but the error persists every time.
This seems to be an automatic organization-level block that gets
applied to new accounts, which should not be happening for a
paying Pro subscriber.
What Should Happen?
Claude Code should work with my active Pro subscription like it does on claude.ai
