Type: enhancement · Area: agents / FleetView (agent roster)

Environment: Claude Code, main session + general-purpose/Plan subagents spawned via the Agent tool (foreground and run_in_background).

Summary: Completed subagents stay in the agent roster until cleared manually, one at a time. The roster does distinguish active from idle (filled vs hollow indicator) and a manual clear exists — but finished agents accumulate, so on any session that spawns several agents the roster fills with done entries that need manual housekeeping to stay readable.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Over a working session, spawn several subagents (a workflow, or a few Agent calls) that run to completion.
  2. Observe the roster after they finish.

Expected: completed agents are reaped automatically (or a single "clear all completed" action exists), so the roster stays focused on active/resumable work.

Actual: each completed agent persists until individually cleared; they accumulate, including across sessions.

Impact: On agent-heavy sessions the roster clutters with finished entries; keeping it readable is manual, per-item work, and it's harder to see at a glance what's actually active or worth resuming.

Suggested direction: any of — (a) auto-dismiss completed agents on finish or after an idle threshold; (b) a "clear all completed" bulk action; (c) a retention config. Preserve resume-ability — don't delete transcripts; this is roster tidiness, not discarding context.

Filed from real usage; sanitized. Happy to provide more detail.
