"Always allow" permission checkbox does not persist in Chrome (claude.ai)

Description
When using Claude on claude.ai (Cowork) in Chrome, the "Always allow" checkbox for tool/permission prompts does not persist. Every time a permission prompt appears, it asks again even though "Always allow" was previously checked.
Expected behavior
Once "Always allow" is checked for a specific permission, it should be remembered and not prompt again for that permission type.
Steps to reproduce
- Open claude.ai in Chrome browser
- Start a conversation that triggers a permission prompt
- Check "Always allow" and approve
- Trigger the same permission again (same or new session)
- Observe that it prompts again despite the previous "Always allow" selection
