[BUG] Numbers are changed between writing and sending to Claude Code.

What's Wrong?

Claude is parsing my text as markdown and changing numbers between typing and submission. If claude gives me 4 points back and I want to respond to 2 of them, I can no longer do so.

If I type:

2. xxx
4. yyy

And then send that message, the message changes to be:

2. xxx
3. yyy

If I type

- 2. xxx
- 4. yyy

And then send that message, the message changes to be:

  d. yyy

Note, there are previous closed issues for this, but this is clearly extreme serious risk, as me saying "2. Yes, 4. Yes" leading to "2. Yes, 3. Yes" could mean claude thinks it is authorised to do destructive work on point 3, which I've not authorised.
