Chat pane fixed narrow width leaves excessive whitespace on wide windows
Issue
The chat pane in the Claude desktop app appears fixed at roughly 25% of the window width, even on a wide display. This leaves large empty whitespace margins on either side of the chat, cramping the actual conversation content into a narrow column.
Expected behavior
The chat pane should be able to use significantly more of the available window width, either automatically or via a user-adjustable divider, rather than being capped at a narrow fixed width.

I found two closed issues describing the opposite problem (chat pane stuck too wide, unable to shrink it) that were auto-closed for inactivity rather than resolved:

Filing this separately since it's the inverse complaint (too narrow, not too wide), but flagging them as related context — both suggest the chat pane's width handling in the desktop app hasn't gotten much attention.
