Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When running Claude Code within an IntelliJ terminal shift-enter does not create a new line.

When running within iTerm shift-enter works as expected.

Work around is Ctrl-J, but muscle memory...

What Should Happen?

Shift enter should create a new line when Claude Code is running in any terminal.
