Is image upload in the plans? Should really help when creating user interfaces and it's something I was used to do in aider with Claude 3.5

Yep! Well supported already. See https://docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/agents-and-tools/claude-code/tutorials#work-with-images for a few options.
I totally missed that! Awesome!
@bcherny I'm not able to get the drag/drop functionality working — when I drag an image into the Claude Code window, it converts it into the image path, but it can't read it. My workaround has been to set up a screenshots folder (when I need help debugging something visual) and direct it to look there. But according to the docs you shared, it should just work to drag or copy an image in. Any tips for what I'm doing wrong? (macOS Sonoma/iTerm2) Thanks!

I am seeing an issue where claude code reports it can't detect a file.
I can confirm that. Interestingly, it works for me sometimes, but not consistently, and I haven't yet figured out why.
It has started working for me now consistently on updated versions of claude code--I think it should be fixed if you update. @dfreudenberger what version are you on?
I'm encountering this issue - for me with screenshots it was the issue of spaces in the filename, once I removed them it found the image no issue.
