[Bug] Security Risk: Insecure Cryptocurrency Private Key Storage Recommendation

Resolved 💬 4 comments Opened Oct 4, 2025 by meefs Closed Jan 7, 2026

Bug Description
During a discussion about generating cryptocurrency wallets via cli, Claude suggested storing the private keys in a cleartext file which was not secured. Had I went forward with Claude's suggestion and suffered a data breach involving that file, all the money stored in the wallet that goes with that private key would be gone. Regardless of the level of thinking, model, etc Claude should at no point suggest a user store a secret such as their crypto wallet private keys in an insecure fashion.
