What You Asked Claude to Do

Despite explicit instructions to always ask for confirmation before pushes, Claude Sonnet 5 displayed a message asking for confirmation and then in the same action pushed the change. A Claude generated description of the event is attached,

What Claude Actually Did

1. Claude has explicit instruction to never push without confirmation
2. Claude made requested changes
3. Claude printed a message asking for confirmation to push
4. Claude immediately pushed without waiting for confirmation

Expected Behavior

Claude should have:

1. Made the changes
2. Printed the message asking for confirmation
3. Stopped and waited for confirmation or further instructions

Files Affected

A push to my git project which then automatically triggers a build of the development environment.
