[BUG] Claude Desktop Crash, Forced Reinstall, Which Mangled Sessions

What's Wrong?

Fable generated the attached bug report for me, after we spent half a day, manually recovering and rebinding sessions, because the Claude Desktop Installer mangled them, produced duplicates from checkpoints and fragments, and lost a couple.
