[Bug] Memory/Context not persisting user profile updates across sessions

Bug Description
I asked you to save my name in the memory. To change it from Gary to Kousalya just a few commands ago. I see this note again in the logs. New scope from Gary: fold penny-trader's "dark-horse" fixes into the v5 data model and app. First, identifying exactly what those fixes are in the penny codebase before mapping them in.
