What's Wrong?

On Windows 11, terminal/PowerShell console windows randomly pop up and disappear (2-3 windows at a time) without any user command. Also occurs when commands are being issued. Very disruptive during presentations.

What Should Happen?

Background processes should run silently without spawning visible console windows

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run Claude Code on Windows 11
  2. Leave it idle or mid-conversation
  3. Console windows flash and disappear on their own
  4. Also occurs when issuing commands
