What's Wrong?

When you move one of the Claude Code tabs in VS-Code around (either in a new VS-Code Window or between them), execution stops when Claude is currently working on something.
The only way to get Claude to finish off is a message telling them to continue. This happened to me several times now and considering I sometimes have multiple Claude Code sessions going at once, this is a bit annoying.

What Should Happen?

Claude doesn't stop working on whatever it's working on when you move the tab of it in another Claude Code window or use the VS-Code tools to move it into a new one.

Error Messages/Logs

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Claude Code in VS-Code, give it a task that doesn't finish instantly.
  2. Right click the tab and select "Move to New Window" or move it into an existing VS Code window by dragging it.
  3. Execution stops.
