[BUG] Inconsistent image-paste shortcut between CLI and desktop/web app
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
Pasting a screenshot into the Claude Code CLI requires Ctrl+V. Cmd+V — the system-wide macOS paste shortcut, and what the desktop and web apps accept — silently drops the attachment: the message sends with the text and no image, with no warning to the user or indication to the model that an image was intended.
Impact: the model answers from stale context instead of the intended screenshot. The failure is invisible from the user's side.
Expected: Cmd+V attaches images in the CLI on macOS, or the CLI warns when a clipboard image was dropped.
I would like to have UX be same on OS -- not diff whither i am in CLI or app = for MacOS command + v
Platform: macOS (Darwin 25.5.0), Claude Code CLI.
What Should Happen?
Whne on a OS that has key commands -- follow thoose key commands throughtout YOUR offerings UI for UX sake ... thanxs ...
