Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Using latest claude windows app. Claude 1.24012.9 (03c61d) 2026-07-24T04:59:17.000Z

In the claude code tab in the windows app, I was trying to do some work using reverb.com as a source. Claude prompted me to "act on" the website. I approved. It then crashed and would not start again. I had to go into Windows settings (Apps -> Installed Apps -> Claude) and click repair for it to start again.

After asking claude what it was trying to do it said that it was using the Browser tool (mcp__Claude_Browser__*) and was encountering a cloudeflare web page. After which it crashed.

I repeated this several times with the same results.

What Should Happen?

It should have just shown me an error that it was not able to access the web site because of cloudflare or just fallen back to something other than the mcp__Claude_Browser__

Error Messages/Logs

No errors. The process just died

Steps to Reproduce

Type this into claude code. It will prompt you to allow claude to act on the website and then crash once approved

use mcp__Claude_Browser__ to search reverb.com for a pedal and its reviews

Claude Model

Sonnet (default)

Is this a regression?

I don't know
