Problem
Extended thinking produces long thinking blocks that are rendered inline in the conversation view (Claude Code desktop app on Windows). On long sessions they dominate the transcript and make it hard to scan actual responses.
Request
An option (setting or per-block toggle) to collapse or hide thinking blocks by default, while keeping extended thinking itself enabled — expand on click when the user wants to inspect reasoning.
Why not just disable thinking
Users want full reasoning quality; only the on-screen verbosity is the problem. A display-level control separates the two.
