[BUG] Claude Code v1.0.115 – Terminal freezes in separate window & unreadable font size

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Sep 16, 2025 by thefitcorp Closed Jan 5, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When updating to v1.0.115, Claude Code no longer works properly if the terminal window is separated from the main Cursor window. The terminal freezes and cannot accept input when switching focus to another app.

Additionally, the font size has been reduced, making text much smaller and harder to read.

What Should Happen?

Claude Code should continue functioning even when the terminal is in a separate window, allowing users to type commands and interact while switching between apps (e.g., Chrome, other IDEs).

Font size should remain consistent and readable, or respect the user’s previous settings.

Open Claude Code and detach the terminal into another window.

Type any command or prompt in the terminal.

Switch to another application (e.g., Chrome).
