Claude in Chrome extension not connecting (persistent "Browser extension is not connected" error)

The Claude in Chrome extension is not connecting to my Claude Code Remote / Cowork session.
Steps taken so far (all confirmed done, issue persists):
- Extension is installed and enabled
- Chrome browser is running
- Logged into claude.ai with the same account as the session
- Restarted Chrome
Every call to the browser automation tools (e.g. tabs_context_mcp) returns:
"Browser extension is not connected. Please ensure the Claude browser extension is installed and running (https://claude.ai/chrome), and that you are logged into claude.ai with the same account as Claude Code."
This is blocking a task that relies on reading data from a TradingView chart via the extension.
Environment: Cowork (desktop app), session running in cloud container.
