[BUG] Dispatch tab completely missing from Claude Desktop sidebar (Windows 11, Pro plan)
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
The Dispatch tab/entry does not appear anywhere in the Claude Desktop app sidebar, so there is no way to activate the Dispatch feature.
Environment:
- OS: Windows 11 (Korean locale)
- Plan: Pro (individual)
- Claude Desktop app: latest version as of 2026-07-13
- Cowork itself works normally (Home/Code, Projects, Artifacts, Scheduled, and custom sections are all visible)
What I see in the sidebar: 새로 생성 (New), 프로젝트 (Projects), 아티팩트 (Artifacts), 예정됨 (Scheduled), 사용자 지정 (Custom) — but no Dispatch entry at all.
Steps already tried:
- Updated the desktop app to the latest version
- Fully restarted the app and the machine
- Confirmed the account is on the Pro plan (Dispatch beta is documented as available for Pro/Max)
This looks related to #48407 (Cowork tab missing on Windows 11) and #39549 (Dispatch visible but not activatable), but in my case the Dispatch entry is entirely absent rather than present-but-broken. If this is expected due to a gradual rollout, it would be helpful to have that confirmed; if not, it may be a server-side flag/pairing issue similar to #49545 / #67303.
What Should Happen?
The Dispatch entry should appear in the Claude Desktop sidebar (as documented in the Claude Help Center article "Assign tasks from anywhere in Claude Cowork"), allowing me to click it and go through the "Get started" activation flow.
Error Messages/Logs
Steps to Reproduce
- Install/update the Claude Desktop app to the latest version on Windows 11 (Pro plan account, Korean locale).
- Open the Claude Desktop app and sign in.
- Look at the left sidebar (Home view of Cowork).
- Expected: a "Dispatch" entry is available to start the activation flow.
- Actual: no Dispatch entry exists anywhere in the sidebar. Restarting the app and the machine does not help.

Additional Information
This report concerns the Claude Desktop app (Cowork) on Windows, not the CLI — filed here because similar Desktop/Dispatch issues are tracked in this repo (e.g. #48407, #39549, #49545, #67303). Account: individual Pro plan. Happy to provide the exact desktop app build number or logs if you tell me where to find them.

Same issue in the latest Mac version.
Same issue on Windows Desktop App. I was able to get Cowork / Scheduled tasks working correctly again, but all signs of Dispatch are gone on the Desktop app. And the ios app fails to pair when you go to the Dispatch tab there. I've watched the interface change perhaps 3 times on the desktop app in the course of 2 weeks, so I figured it was just a glitch (that also causes issues with Cowork working without taking some advanced steps), but was hoping Dispatch would be back by now.
I am having this same issue. US locale. Everything else in my desktop app works, but dispatch is not showing. It is showing on my phone app, but I cannot pair the two. I just got the pro plan 2 days ago.
Same here on MacOS. Also, iPhone is trying to initiate dispatch, but does not find the desktop app.
Same for me. No Dispatch tab on MacOS. iPad is looking for desktop app but cannot find.
Same here on MacOS in the US. Has Claude given any solution?
