read web pages to fetch documentation?

I know fetching web pages was disabled for security reasons, but I'd love to have a way to fetch some documentation for some unknown libraries or even a blog post documenting a new pattern I'd like to try.

in my workflow, claude code does work and it fails. i ask claude code to write a prompt to 'web-AI' to find out if there have been breaking changes with the library / package we are using, and to find out if the community has run into a similar issue and found workaround. i manually paste the claude code response into claude.ai webpage. claude.ai searches the web and responds. i manually paste the claude.ai response into claude code. the workflow works, but would be so much faster if claude code could access the internet directly in the same way claude.ai already does.
As of last week, you can paste in a URL for Claude to read—let me know if you hit any snags.
