[Bug] Unclear behavior in context handling or model output quality affecting cost estimation

Bug (?) Description

• Its might be not a real sw bug...but Claude Code seems to "misleading" me on a very pricy topic, and at first not aware of his own working about autocompact pct overide, i wanted to set up lower to save tokens and prevent context rot.

• Seems just old self knowledge update issue _(if im beeing paranoid: very subtile dark patteren? -tinfoil hat off-)_, but im not happy with it. this could cost me 2-3x money if believe it and run loops on 1M context with default 90% autocompact rule i guess.
