What's Wrong?

Paste in Claude Code is broken Shows 'h G2' instead of pasted text ; paste works as zsh prompt but not inside claude code. Show a line --------- G2.

Thanks for the report. I tried to reproduce this on the current release (2.1.233) in macOS Terminal.app: pasting a 2-line snippet with Cmd+V inserted the text into the prompt correctly, and pasting 30 lines showed the usual [Pasted text #1 +30 lines] placeholder. I couldn't get h G2 or a ----- G2 line to appear.

Since the steps aren't known yet, could you share a bit more so we can dig in?

Does it still happen on the latest version (claude update, then claude --version)?
Does it happen in a brand-new Terminal.app window/tab, or only in one that has been running for a while (e.g. after another program like vim/tmux/ssh ran in it)?
What was on the clipboard when it happened (plain text, code, something copied from a browser)? Does a short plain-text paste like hello also break?
Any tmux, screen, or SSH between Terminal.app and Claude Code?
Output of claude doctor, and your Terminal.app profile's Advanced settings (terminal type, "Paste newlines as CR", etc.).

If you can capture a screenshot or /share link from a session where it happens, that would help a lot.
