[Bug][aup] APK decompile + protocol search for reverse-engineering wrongly blocked by AUP classifier (req_011CcdkKWwg5cazaHhchuQUu)

Triage: kind aup · domain reverse-engineering · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below

Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): reverse-engineering

Why this is a false positive

This block fired during a routine reverse-engineering session in which a legitimately-obtained mobile application was being decompiled with standard, openly-available tooling to inspect how the app constructs internal commands — ordinary interoperability and protocol-analysis research on software the user is authorized to examine. Nothing in the request sought to attack a third party, evade a protection, or produce anything malicious; it was a static-analysis lookup over locally-held bytecode. Halting the entire session under the Usage Policy on this kind of standard, in-scope RE work is a false positive that blocks legitimate technical activity.

A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-02T19:01:43.388Z.
