[Bug][cyber] Cyber safeguard wrongly blocks routine web dependency/JavaScript upgrade assistance (req_011CccfjWtXxiuL2upKkp9gv)
Triage: kind cyber · domain general · flagging model Opus 4.8 (1M context) · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below
Type: Cybersecurity safety-filter false positive · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
The safety system halted the session on a cybersecurity flag while the work in progress was routine web/JavaScript modernization — dependency and framework upgrades with no offensive-security, exploitation, or malware component. The triggering message was a frustrated question directed at the assistant about why prior blocks kept firing; it addressed no person and requested no harmful capability. Flagging benign front-end upgrade work as a cybersecurity threat, and terminating the entire coding session over it, is a disruptive false positive on legitimate, in-scope activity.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 1× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-07-02T05:20:52.364Z.
