[FEATURE] Option to disable auto-resume post auto-compact

Problem Statement

Many people, expect autocompact to "just work", and complain that Claude gets "dumber" after compact.

This gives Anthropic undeserved grief from less aware users, and can lead to disasters when Claude gets left unattended.

Proposed Solution

It would be handy to have the option to disable automatic task resumption following auto compact, just a simple flag in the options menu.

Maybe add a small description of what to do following autocompact (ask Claude to read specific documentation,etc)? I believe this should be in the app itself not on the website - not everyone will go through the entirety of documentation!

Alternative Solutions

Basically what I do is I either compact manually, or instantly hit esc following autocompact...
