Voice input transcribes in English when speaking Portuguese (Brazil)

What's Wrong?

Voice input transcribes spoken Portuguese (Brazil) as English text. When I speak in Portuguese, the transcription output appears in English instead of the language I'm speaking.

What Should Happen?

Voice input should transcribe speech in the language being spoken. When speaking Portuguese (Brazil), the output should be Portuguese text.

Error Messages/Logs

No error messages. The transcription completes silently but produces English text instead of Portuguese.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Claude Code in VS Code (Windows 11)
2. Click the microphone/voice input button
3. Speak a sentence in Portuguese (Brazil), e.g.: "Quero corrigir um bug no meu código"
4. Observe that transcription outputs English text instead of Portuguese
