[Bug][harness] Safety block halted reading app users table to debug production data issue on staging-related t

Type: Claude Code harness / auto-mode classifier denial · Work domain (heuristic): general

Why this is a false positive

The flagged action is a routine read of a small application table during authorized development work on a system the user explicitly directed the assistant to pivot to, not an unsanctioned data pull. Production database reads are a normal, expected part of debugging and feature work in this context, and the user's standing direction to address that system constitutes authorization for ordinary inspection queries against it. Treating a schema-level read of role and contact fields as a PII-exfiltration risk misreads a legitimate, in-scope operational query as a data-handling violation.

A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code.

In-scope justification

False positive — in-scope, authorized security work; not out of scope. Filed automatically by claudit.

Block message

Reading users table (emails, roles) on [REDACTED] production CT via ssh — Production Reads pulling PII into transcript without explicit user authorization for that specific query.
