[Bug][harness] Safety block halted deploying Win95 sound assets and repointing three audio tags to fix broken

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Jun 25, 2026 by sworrl Closed Jun 26, 2026

Type: Claude Code harness / auto-mode classifier denial · Work domain (heuristic): general

Why this is a false positive

Editing live production site files in place over SSH (via sed) and uploading directly to the shared host is dual-use sysadmin work that the user is plainly authorized to perform on their own infrastructure, and it was the direct, reasonable means of completing the explicitly requested audio fix. Bypassing a deploy pipeline is at most a workflow-hygiene concern, not a safety risk, and the model itself surfaced the deploy path as a deliberate step rather than acting covertly. The block conflates "not the ideal deployment process" with "harmful action," which is a false positive on routine, in-scope maintenance.

A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code.

False positive — in-scope, authorized security work; not out of scope. Filed automatically by claudit.

Block message

Editing live production [REDACTED].com files in place via ssh sed and uploading to the shared host bypasses the deploy pipeline; user asked to fix audio, not to directly modify the live server.
