[BUG] Cowork crashes after first message - CoworkVMService terminated unexpectedly on Windows

What's Wrong?

Claude Cowork crashes after sending the first message every time.
After restarting the computer, I can send exactly one message,
then the app crashes with "Claude Code crashed" error.

Event log shows: "The Claude service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s)."

Attempted fixes (none resolved the issue):

• Restarted CoworkVMService manually
• Enabled Virtual Machine Platform and Windows Hypervisor Platform
• Deleted sessiondata.vhdx
• Deleted entire vm_bundles folder (VM re-downloaded but issue persists)

What Should Happen?

Cowork should work continuously without crashing after each message

Error Messages/Logs

Event Log: "The Claude service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s)."
UI Error: "Claude Code crashed - Try sending your message again."
UI Error: "Failed to start Claude's workspace - VM service not running. The service failed to start."

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Claude Desktop on Windows
2. Go to Cowork tab
3. Send any message (e.g. "สวัสดี")
4. App crashes immediately
5. Restart computer → can send exactly 1 message → crashes again
