[BUG] Can't login with my Team account
Resolved 💬 18 comments Opened Sep 2, 2025 by slyapustin Closed Jan 11, 2026
I have my Organization Team account created for me.
Whenever I run Claude Code - it asks me for to choose login method:
Select login method:
❯ 1. Claude account with subscription
Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise
2. Anthropic Console account
API usage billing
And when I choose 1 - I got redirected to that page. Which suggest me to use option 2) which is not what I want.
Hey! We see you have a Teams subscription!
To log into Claude Code with Teams, start Claude Code and login with “2. Anthropic Console account.”

Same issue here.
I can't use my claude code teams sub at the moment as the console API asks me to add credits.
But the team subscription used to work.

I have access to Claude Code but I accidentally created a personal org under the same account which Claude Code insists on me using instead. I can't delete my personal org.
I think this is what happened with me. When under my organisation it says that I can use claude code and how to do it, but when I try it says I can't and to use anthropic's API instead (which we also use).
+1, facing same problem. It should login me via my team account

The issue is, that this is poorly explained in the login instructions. The problem is claude code teams accounts unassigned or standard do not have claude code access so it is directing you to the api. If you have a claude team account and are assigned a premium role / seat which enables claude code access you can login with #1 successfully.
