[BUG] MacOS file & folders permission per version
Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Jun 18, 2026 by wapmesquita Closed Jun 22, 2026
Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
For each new version, we need to grant the new Claude Code version permissions again on macOS. This is annoying.

What Should Happen?
Claude Code should have a persistent name in MacOS and not the version name, so we don't need to grant permission again for every new version, every single day.
