Bug Report: Claude Desktop (not CLI)

Environment:

  • Product: Claude Desktop
  • Version: 0.12.125
  • OS: Windows 10
  • Platform: Desktop application

Issue:
The File menu is completely missing from the Claude Desktop interface in version 0.12.125.

Expected behavior:
File menu should be visible in the application interface (typically in top menu bar or accessible via keyboard shortcuts).

Actual behavior:

  • No File menu visible anywhere in the interface
  • Only bottom action buttons are present: Code, Learn, Write, Life stuff
  • Standard Windows application menus are absent

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install Claude Desktop 0.12.125 on Windows 10
  2. Launch the application
  3. Observe the interface - File menu is missing
  4. Try Alt+F or F10 - no menu appears

Visual evidence:

Additional context:

  • Issue persists after complete reinstallation
  • May be related to recent UI changes in version 0.12.125
  • Users expect standard application menus for file operations
