Problem Statement

Does Anthropic plan to make a native linux version of Claude Code Desktop? The desktop app is really nice. But I'm doing my development in WSL2, and the Windows destkop app apparently needs to filter commands through Windows to WSL and they get mangled.

I switched to using Claude Code in VS Code launched from WSL and now that part is smoothed out--no more warnings or backtracks due to commands with escaped quotes getting mangled, etc. But the UI in VS Code is seriously lacking compared to the desktop app. No way to copy slice reports. Does not show time or tokens. The list goes on...

Proposed Solution

Build a native linux desktop app.
