Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing requests and this feature hasn't been requested yet
  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

Can we add a feature to draft unsent message from the current session, so that if I did not send the message and switched to a different session then go back to the previous sessions, the unsent message should still be there in the chat type box (similar to Cursor). This is a neat feature that Cursor has and one of the reason why I have not fully switched over to Claude code in my company organization

Proposed Solution

Add a feature to draft unsent message from the current session in the sidebar chat within vscode, so that if I did not send the message and switched to a different session then go back to the previous sessions, the unsent message should still be there in the chat type box (similar to Cursor). This is a neat feature that Cursor has and one of the reason why I have not fully switched over to Claude code in my company organization
