[BUG] remote control doesnt work on desktop app

What's Wrong?

Title: /remote-control command appears in autocomplete but does not connect

Environment

Claude Code desktop app (Mac)
Plan: Pro
Model: Sonnet 4.6 and Fable 5
Steps to reproduce

Open an active Code session
Type /remote-control in the input bar
Select it from the autocomplete dropdown
Press enter
Expected behavior
Session becomes viewable and controllable from claude.ai/code

Actual behavior
The command appears to run but nothing happens — the remote control does not connect. No error message is shown.

Notes

The "Try it" banner for Fable 5 / long-running sessions was visible at the time, unsure if related
The session itself was fully functional — only the remote control connection failed. but I did get rid of the fable try it banner, and I actually tried it on fable, and it still failed. it also failed after getting rid of the commit changes tab. didnt seem to matter either way on either option.

What Should Happen?

I should be able to access my code session from the app on my phone when I am using remote control. claude is acting like it has no idea it even exists or ever existed.
