[Bug] Claude Code incorrectly flags personal health discussions as biology research
Bug Description
Hi Claude team,
I wanted to share some feedback on a misclassification I ran into with Fable.
One of my conversations was flagged as being related to a biology topic, and I was asked to switch back to Opus 4.8. However, the conversation was not about biological research or scientific experimentation. It was about personal health, medication, and related individual medical context. I did reference information from my personal genetic testing report, but only as part of a personal health discussion, not for any research, lab work, biological analysis, or experimental purpose.
From my perspective, this seems like an overbroad classification. Personal health conversations may naturally include terms related to genetics, medications, or biomarkers, but that does not necessarily make them biology research topics. In this case, the restriction felt like a false positive and interrupted an otherwise appropriate personal health use case.
I hope the classification logic can better distinguish between:
biology or life-sciences research use cases, and
personal health or medical-context conversations that happen to mention genetics or biomarkers.
Thanks for looking into this. I appreciate the work you’re doing to make model routing safer and more accurate.
