[Bug] Git Commit Error Detection Failure in Claude Code 1.0.92

Bug Description
Claude seems to have lost the ability to notice when git commit returns a non-zero error. I've had it claim many times recently that the commit succeeded when it didn't. Then I have to argue with it a bit for it to notice that nothing happened. All the while it's running more and more token-eating git commands trying to work out what happened. This seems new in claude 1.0.92 as I've never had trouble before

I've had claude do this a number of times today having never done it before. I argued with it asking if it commited OK and it said "yes". then asked it about the return code (it's correctly coloured red) but it said something about "oh, that's because of stderr output, it still weorked".
