[BUG] Yearly Pro subscription demoted to Free (losing Claude Code access)

What's Wrong?

Yesterday, on launching Claude Code (command line) it told me I wasn't logged in. This has happened before but usually going through the option 'Claude account with subscription' gets everything working again.

But as of yesterday it claims I only have a Free subscription, not Pro. I've been using Pro constantly since February when I paid for a 12 month (£180.00) subscription.

I've tried various combinations of logging out and logging in and nothing is resolving it. The UI at https://claude.ai/ is currently showing my plan as 'Free plan' which is wrong. Likewise in 'Settings' | 'Billing'.

I've used the 'Get Help' | Fin messager to raise the issue. As soon as I described the issue I got this response from Fin: "This requires investigation by our human customer support team. Your issue is being handed over to them now."

After that, the messager just stopped responding to further messages / questions. (Ironic, that Anthropic's own support chatbot is ghosting paying customers.) There appears to be no way to clear the chat, or to start a new one. I got no case number, nor did I get a confirmation email to indicate that any problem has actually been logged. Since the chatbot went silent, then, I've had no further communication or acknowledgement.

I have zero confidence that anyone is actually looking at this or that it has even been passed on.

Aside: This is on top of finding, over about the last two weeks, that Claude Code regularly wedges with CPU maxed out, if the session is left open, even if not doing anything. Note that I'm not trying to raise a second issue in this ticket re it wedging, but just noting the aggravation of increasing and compounding issues.

What Should Happen?

I should be on a Pro account, like I paid for.
