[Bug] Model version inconsistency across devices with same account, requires reinstall

Bug Description
There is an issue for many months where the model updates are not reflecting for the same account. My laptop shows for example
Opus 4.8 as a model but my desktop shows Opus 4.7 as a model. I tried updating and waited for 2-3 weeks but latest model doesn't get
reflected on my desktop with the same account. This has been an issue for at least 8 months now. it's annoying. if i uninstall and reinstall
claude again then the model shows up as the latest i.e Opus 4.8
