IntelliJ plugin: change chat panel color when not in focus

Feature Request

Summary

Add an option to visually distinguish the Claude Code chat panel when it does not have keyboard focus — for example, by changing the panel background, border, or title bar color.

Problem

When working in IntelliJ IDEA, it's easy to accidentally start typing in the editor instead of the Claude Code chat input, because there's no strong visual cue that the panel has lost focus. This leads to unintended code edits.

Proposed Solution

Provide a setting (or respect IntelliJ's standard tool-window focus styling) that changes the chat panel's background color or adds a visible indicator when the panel is not focused. This would give users an immediate visual signal before they start typing.

Environment

  • IDE: IntelliJ IDEA
  • Plugin: Claude Code for JetBrains
