[BUG] Very slow keyboard and processing after coming from window sleep mode

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When I have a Claude window open, put Windows into hibernate, and then start Windows again, keyboard input becomes very slow and delayed. Processing is also extremely slow, meaning token sending is extremely slow. I can literally watch individual tokens being counted up. Normally, all of this is much faster.

The issue does not go away if I continue to work with Claude. However, if I close the Claude window and open a new one it, everything works normal again.

I would like to continue working with my conversation from before Hibernate. Currently, I cannot do that because the delays make it completely unusable.

What Should Happen?

The Claude should be as fast as before hibernation, when Windows comes out of hibernation.
