Section/Topic

billing transparency

Current Documentation

the docs say "your close to your limit today, pay some extra to keep working."

What's Wrong or Missing?

I am a retireee. I pay 20 dollars per month. i get to use claude every day. i can use it quite a lot. i run against my limit occasionally, and one day I decide to pay the extra that the model asks, so i pay extra to the tune of over double, meaning 45 dollars thinking it will allow me double the usage for the rest of the month. instead, double my money is gone in one day and i didnt increase my usage by 30 times. no explanation, just money gone.

Suggested Improvement

when your model asks for more money, be transparent, tell the user that each token costs X, and you have used X many tokens today and X many this week, and then explain that paying this extra only purchases X tokens more, would you like to continue? that is transparency that the current system lacks, and that i do not appreciate.

Impact

High - Prevents users from using a feature

Additional Context

Frustrated Customer
