Claude Code sessions inconsistently sync to Claude iOS app — some sessions visible, others not

Description

Claude Code sessions are inconsistently syncing to the Claude iOS app. Some sessions appear in the iOS app under Claude Code, while others on the same account do not — with no clear difference in how they were started.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start multiple Claude Code sessions on Mac (desktop app)
  2. Open Claude iOS app on iPhone
  3. Check Claude Code sessions visible in the app

Expected Behavior

All Claude Code sessions should be accessible in the Claude iOS app when logged into the same Anthropic account.

Actual Behavior

Only some sessions appear. Specifically:

  • A session for the uigen project (a git repo) does appear in the iOS app
  • A session for a new project sfcc-index (also a git repo, just initialized) does not appear

Both sessions are on the same Mac, same Anthropic account. The sfcc-index repo was pushed to GitHub (private) at https://github.com/Akshit-/sfcc-index but the session still does not appear in the iOS app after waiting and refreshing.

Impact

Users cannot reliably access their Claude Code work-in-progress from mobile, making it impossible to review conversation history, add thoughts, or continue brainstorming while away from their Mac.

Environment

  • Platform: macOS
  • Claude Code: Desktop app
  • iOS app: Claude for iPhone
  • Account: same Anthropic account on both devices
